FAQ

What are the height weight restrictions for the average course?

ZIPStream designs courses to be as accessible to as many people as possible. However, due to the inherent nature of the activity, these courses do require a person to be mobile and have functional use of both hands and feet. In addition, participants must be capable of understanding and properly operating the Smart Self Belay System for courses that use this system.

For ZIPStream Aerial Adventure Courses and Zipline Courses, participants must be at least 11 years old have a vertical reach of at least 70". In some locations, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.

For Children’s Aerial Adventure Courses, participants must be between 6-10 years old with a vertical reach of at least 55". Maximum head height for entering the Orange course is 60" while standing flat footed. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

For all courses, the maximum weight is 275 lbs.

How much time should we allow?

Time allotment varies by location, and ranges from 1 ½ hours to 4 hours or more.

Are there any clothing restrictions or recommendations?

Participants should wear comfortable clothing that will allow movement easily through the course. Closed-toe shoes required - no sandals/slingbacks. Long hair must be pulled back into a pony tail. Jewelry should be removed. All personal items (wallet, cell phone, keys, cameras, etc) will need to be placed in a basket prior to entering the course and can be retrieved following completion of the course. This rule is for your safety and the safety of those below you.

Do we need to sign a waiver to participate?

All ZIPStream locations require participants to sign a waiver prior to beginning any course. Each location has its own site-specific waiver, most of which can be downloaded from their websites. See the ZIPStream locations page for site details. Participants age 18 & under must have a parental signature on waiver form.

Can we take pictures on the course?

Picture options vary by location. In most situations, for the safety of both you and those below you, all personal items (wallet, cell phone, keys, cameras, etc) will need to be placed in a basket prior to entering the course and can be retrieved following completion of the course.

What is the Inclement Weather Policy?

Most ZIPStream aerial adventures are "almost-any-weather" activities. The courses often run rain or shine on posted open days. The exceptions to this generally are exceptional downpours and the presence of thunder/lightning. In the event of thunder/lightning all courses will be closed until the conditions improve and it is safe to return to the trees. The ZIPStream staff continually monitors the weather and will make every effort to warn participants of the potential for weather that could close the course and in some cases may delay entry to the course even after a ticket has been purchased.

There are no refunds for courses interrupted by dangerous weather conditions.
